KAURI CLIFFS
Rosewood Kauri Cliffs - Matauri Bay is a Luxury Coastal Resort. Set on 6,000 acres in the Bay of Islands, Northland, on an unspoiled coastline where high cliffs nestle into three pristine private beaches. Named the number one resort in Australia and New Zealand by Travel + Leisure, the cliffside retreat offers breathtaking vistas of Cape Brett and Cavalli Islands, a David Harman-designed championship golf course and a spa sanctuary hidden within a native forest.
TE ARAI LINKS
Positioned alongside a pristine coastline, Te Arai Links promises to be a world-class golf destination, boasting two world class golf courses (sister courses of Golf.com's 2023-24 #20 in the world, Tara Iti Golf Club).
Boasting two pure links golf courses designed by Tom Doak and the other by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw.
Te Arai Links is a scenic 90-minute drive from Auckland’s central business district, or 25 minutes by helicopter.
KINLOCH
Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, Kinloch opened in 2007 close to Taupo.
This 6,734-metre course is a real test of your game from tee to green, and the fast, sloping greens mean you need a putting stroke that doesn’t let you down. The par 4 10th hole provides an awe-inspiring view of the course and Lake Taupo. The fairways feature elevation changes and carries that require steady iron and wood play, and split fairways on the 8th and 16th holes give you options – or escape plans in an emergency.
The back nine holes are more spacious and offer strong short holes and dramatic longer holes with some steep zones and angled greens. Not for the faint of heart.
The lodge resort provides luxury accommodation, excellent food and wine, as well as other activities overlooking Lake Taupo.
WAIRAKEI
Many find sanctuary on a golf course, but it is rare to find a golf course that is a sanctuary - Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary is thought to have scored a world first! Skilfully designed to blend with the natural rolling countryside and developed to meet the rigorous design standards for world class championship competition.
Early 2020, Wairakei celebrated 50 years and the completion of a robust green restoration project. The magnificent putting surface of the new greens complement the beauty of the course and sanctuary environment. Navigate your way through 18 testing holes of exceptional beauty. Listen to the cacophony of birdlife, the meandering streams, wandering deer and delightful waterfalls.
Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary is a truly unique golfing experience that cannot be missed.
